The heartbroken widow of a gas fitter fatally assaulted by his landlord has broken down at court while staring down the man who killed the “kind, cheeky and funny” love of her life.

Three years after the body of Craig Dunn, 62, was found at an industrial building complex in a suburb of Hervey Bay, his killer Brett Gordon Williams was jailed for eight years.

But in a twist, Williams was made eligible for parole in October 2026, with more than 1200 days already served in pre-sentence custody.

Williams, 61, had pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Dunn – who was his tenant at the Urangan industrial complex – back in April 2022.
