LITTLE ROCK, ARK. - People gathered on the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol to honor the life of political activist Charlie Kirk on Saturday.

Kirk was shot and killed on Wednesday while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.

There were over 200 people at the Capitol, just days after the shooting. They prayed, cried, played worship music and lit a candle in Kirk's honor.

They prayed for Charlie, his family and every person in America - no matter what their beliefs.

One of the signs in the crowd read: “R.I.P. Charlie, we'll take it from here.”

“To let him know and his family know we're thinking about him,” Jonny Toops said. “We're praying for him, and you don't have to be perfect, but you can spread his message as well.”
