LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock Police Department officer Tommy Norman made a short post to X shortly after being released on Monday after his Saturday night arrest.
“Where I am doesn’t define who I am…” the officer and community activist posted.
Norman was released on $350 bond on Monday after being taken into custody and facing a charge of misdemeanor third-degree domestic battery.
In an arrest report over the weekend, NLRPD officers said that when they spoke to Norman’s wife, she said he struck her on the right side of her chest with the back of his hand during an argument. Officers said that they saw a slight injury visible on her chest.
Officers said Norman told them he was defending himself from being slapped. Officers said they saw no injuries on Norman.
