PINE BLUFF, Ark. – On Walnut Street, vehicles drive by a building burned to ash — one that once held many memories.

The Pine Bluff fire chief said the department responded to the call about fire at 10:47 p.m. Saturday.

The location of the fire used to be Central Fish Market, a beloved staple to residents of Pine Bluff.

"It was so heartbreaking to see that business, which had been such a staple in the community for so long, just to see it burn down,” Kymara Seals said.

The business had been closed for years but was in the process of being reopened under a new name — Kathy's Fish Market.

"We were looking forward to it, because I'm always looking for a good fish spot. So, very sad. Very sad,” Seals said.
