A multi-vehicle crash in Etowah County has claimed the life of a teenager and injured another.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said a 15-year-old was killed Saturday afternoon when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) they were driving collided head-on with a truck being driven by a 16-year-old.

The 15-year-old was thrown from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene on Cox Gap Road near Walter Whitt Road, just southeast of Sardis City.

The cause of the deadly wreck remains under investigation by ALEA.
