DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Separate shootings have left two people injured early Sunday morning in downtown Durham and south Durham, according to police.

Officers said that around 1:50 a.m. Sunday they responded to the sounds of shots fired near the 100 block of East Main Street at the parking garage on South Mangum Street.

While they did not initially find a victim, officers said they found evidence of a crime scene. During their investigation, officers said a victim of the shooting was at a nearby hospital.

Officers said the victim is in stable condition.

CBS 17 was at the scene where officers secured the scene in the back of the parking garage.
