QUINCY (WGEM) - The Adams County State’s Attorney’s office is investigating after a student was allegedly found with a gun at the QHS football game Friday night at Flinn Stadium
In a statement from QPS, officials said the student was taken into police custody and no harm was done.
QPS said someone notified staff, who quickly reacted, along with Quincy Police to get the situation under control.
QPD and the State’s Attorney’s office will pursue appropriate legal avenues, according to QPS officials.
The school district said the student will face discipline in accordance with QPS policy, and district leaders will review security procedures and assess the incident to ensure security and safety, QPS officials stated.
