QUINCY (WGEM) - A new restaurant is opening in Quincy, and the owner has already seen success in the Gem City.
When Jared Tipton graduated from culinary school 20 years ago, he never knew his craft would bring him to Quincy.
Now he’s opening his second restaurant on the Gem City’s 6th Street promenade: Atlas’ Slice.
The culinary mastermind behind 8te Open is serving up his take on New York and Neapolitan-style pizza.
The menu will include all the classics, plus some boundary-pushing pies, including duck confit and fig jam pizza, buffalo chicken mac and cheese pizza, and another pie topped with 600-day-aged prosciutto.
