Iowa State Patrol is investigating three fatal crashes that occurred Saturday.

The incidents happened in Plymouth, Poweshiek and Lee counties. An 18-year-old was killed in a motorcycle crash. Iowa State Patrol says Lucas Timothy Johnson was going westbound on County Road 103 around 7:45 a.m. when he missed a curve on the road, got into a ditch, and then hit a utility pole. He died at the scene.

Later in the day, just after 5:30 p.m., two people were killed and three people were hurt in a Poweshiek County crash. Investigators say a Jeep going eastbound on Ewart Road didn't stop at a stop sign at Highway 63 and hit another Jeep at the intersection, and the two cars ended up in a cornfield.
