DES MOINES, Iowa —

After record heat on Saturday, the summer feel continues for Sunday, though not quite as hot. The warm conditions will linger for several more days before storm chances bring cooler weather later in the week.

Morning temperatures once again started off well above average, with readings in the mid-60s to low 70s across the state. Partly cloudy skies will mean temperatures don't shoot up quite as quickly after sunrise with a light south breeze.

More clouds will filter in throughout the afternoon today helping to keep temperatures away from record levels, but we will still warm into the upper 80s and low 90s this afternoon. Average highs should be in the upper 70s, so the well above average heat continues. This is a sligh
