So far, not expecting major impacts for the morning drive and we will have a sunny and clear afternoon. We are warming back into the mid 80s today with 90s entering the weekend. As we warm up Friday, we will see a possibility of showers and storms forming in the afternoon. These rain chances will have a very large dry layer to overcome to reach the ground but is a possibility. Rain chances will end shortly after sunset.

Saturday will be the hottest day with high near 95 in Des Moines along with low 90s possibly reaching the northern border. Highs in the 90s will continue for the rest of the weekend with the better chance for showers and storms Sunday night. Tem
