POULSBO -- Crowds showed up. Some passed the candlelight to the newcomers. Some came up to speak on stage. More of them listened with visible grief on their faces, as the sunset faded over the Liberty Bay waterfront to darkness.
More than 200 people attended a candlelight vigil Saturday, Sept. 13 at Poulsbo's waterfront park to mourn Charlie Kirk, the conservative influencer and author who was killed earlier in the week. The event was hosted by Melissa Zoller and her husband, Paul Zoller of Kingston. The couple prepared the photo of Kirk with words "In Loving Memory Charlie Kirk 1993-2005 age 31", and placed it on a table with some flowers and an American flag at the pavilion of the Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park.
