CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. —

One person was killed and another was taken to the hospital after police say a fire was intentionally set inside a home in Allegheny County on Sunday morning.

Allegheny County police said officials were called to the 809 block of Corbett Drive before 10 a.m. following reports of a house fire. Advertisement

When first responders arrived at the scene, they said a 19-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The second victim was last said to be in critical condition.

Detectives said preliminary information shows the fire was intentionally set by a man known to the victims. They are currently in police custody.
