The last time the Seattle Seahawks faced the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was a virtual must-win game in Seattle. Of course, the Seahawks not only lost and had their playoff hopes crash out, but it was the final home game of Pete Carroll’s tenure as head coach.

This year’s game is not as urgent, as there’s a lot of room to overcome an 0-2 start from Seattle’s perspective. You don’t want to dig yourself too deep a hole, however, and this is still an important matchup for Mike Macdonald’s squad. It’s also a day for new Steelers receiver DK Metcalf to meet up with old friends after he was traded by Seattle earlier this offseason. Metcalf had an effective debut, catching four passes for 83 yards from Aaron Rodgers.

The terrible towels will be waving aplenty as Pittsburgh looks for a 2-0 start. Se
