A TUI flight from Mexico to Manchester had to do a U-turn over the Atlantic Ocean due to a medical emergency, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded for more than 24 hours. Several hundred passengers have been waiting to complete their journey home from Shannon Airport in Ireland since Saturday (September 13) with several hundred more waiting for the return flight at Manchester.
The passengers finally arrived back in Manchester on Sunday afternoon (September 14), having left Cancun more than 48 hours ago.
