15-year-old killed in ATV, car collision

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A crash between an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and vehicle has led to the death of a 15-year-old in Etowah County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred around 3:24 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. The crash happened on Cox Gap Road, near Walter Whitt Road, about three miles southeast of Sardis City.

ALEA says the 15-year-old driver of the 2015 Yamaha Kodiak 700 ATV was fatally injured when they collided head on with a 2006 Toyota Tacoma.

According to ALEA, the 15-year-old was thrown from the ATV during the collision and pronounced dead at the scene.
