The Texas Rangers activated outfielder Adolis Garcia from the injured list Sunday, while outfielder Dustin Harris was optioned back to Triple-A Round Rock.

Garcia has not played since Sept. 1 at Arizona when he sustained a right quad strain while running to first base.

Over 125 games this season, Garcia is batting .235 with 18 home runs and 73 RBIs for the Rangers, who entered Sunday two games out of the final wild-card spot in the American League with 13 games remaining, including Sunday’s road game against the New York Mets.

In seven major league seasons, Garcia, 32, is a career .238 hitter with 140 home runs and 457 RBIs for the St. Louis Cardinals (2018) and Rangers (2020-25).

Harris, 26, was batting .200 with one home run and two RBIs in 19 games this season.
