Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow exited Sunday’s game in the second quarter with an apparent leg injury.

Burrow was attempting to escape pressure when he was sacked by Jacksonville Jaguars lineman Arik Armstead, who brought Burrow down by his lower leg.

Burrow, the 2024 league leader in passing yards and touchdown passes, removed his helmet and remained seated on the field until he was tended to my medical personal. He was helped to the medical tent for further evaluation before limping back to the locker room.

Backup Jake Browning took over for Burrow with the Bengals trailing the Jaguars 14-7. Browning in 2023 started the final seven games for the Bengals after Burrow
