3 dogs from Alabama need a home at Dakin

Three mixed breed Labrador retrievers are up for adoption at Dakin Humane Society that made their way up from Alabama.

The dogs range in ages from 9-month-old to 2-years-old and the adoption for each is $550, according to the Springfield-based organization’s website.

Iris is a 9-month-old Labrador retriever and terrier mix.

“Her friends [in Alabama] told us she’s as sweet as can be — and they were right!" Dakin said on their website.

The agency said the dog “walks beautifully” on leash, is house trained, crate trained and “wonderfully quiet.”

Iris weighs nearly 60 pounds, is sociable with people and dogs alike and she’s eager for a cuddle, the agency said.
