DETROIT. (WILX) - The Detroit Lions lead the Chicago Bears 28-14 at halftime.

The Lions and Bears both came into Week 2 seeking their first win of the season.

Bears first-year head coach Ben Johnson spent three years as Detroit’s offensive coordinator, winning NFL Assistant Coach of the Year in 2024.

Detroit got the ball first, and quarterback Jared Goff hit wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown for a 34-yard gain on the game’s first play. Just a few snaps later, running back Jahmyr Gibbs scored on a six-yard run to put the Lions up 7-0.

Chicago responded quickly, putting together an eight-play, 74-yard drive that ended with a 28-yard touchdown pass from QB Caleb Williams to WR Rome Odunze to tie the game 7-7.

The teams traded punts before Goff found St. Brown again for a 32-yard reception
