NEW YORK (WABC) -- The African American Day Parade (AADP) will take to the streets in Harlem once again in a celebration of Black culture, heritage and excellence.
This year marks the 56th anniversary of the parade, which will take place along Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard between 111th and 137th streets on Sunday, September 21.
WABC-TV Channel 7 is a proud sponsor of the parade, and will stream the event live on abc7NY.com, our mobile and connected TV apps, and on our social media pages (Facebook, YouTube and TikTok) starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The theme of this year's parade is "Education is Our #1 Priority," and will honor those who help uplift and empower the community through learning.
Among those being recognized include our very own Eyewitness News anchor Sandra Bookman,
