New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields went into the locker room Sunday to be evaluated for a concussion.
Fields’ head slammed against the turf on a hit by Buffalo Bills edge rusher Joey Bosa during a second-down pass attempt in the third quarter at MetLife Stadium. One play later, Bosa brought him down for a 9-yard sack to end the drive.
Fields was examined after the possession in the medical tent before going into the locker room for further tests.
Fields exited after completing just 3 of 11 passes for 27 yards. He was sacked twice and posted a 39.6 passer rating before leaving.
The Jets’ offense has sputtered badly, managing only three plays in the third quarter. Buffalo leads 30-3.
Former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor entered the game for Fields on the Jets' next possession.
