NAVAJO COUNTY, Ariz — Damage was reported when a tornado touched down at the Navajo Nation on Saturday, according to authorities.

The Navajo Police Department said three homes were destroyed in the McCracken Mesa and Cahone Mesa areas.

Police said some pets and livestock are also missing.

Families affected by the storms were taken to hotels coordinated by the Aneth Chapter House, the police department said.

No injuries were reported.
