On Sunday, the 26 th annual Wishes on Wheels event took place at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.

“It’s really overpowering and I’m almost holding back tears,” said Make-A-Wish Dad Luke Malinowski. “Honestly, from seeing so many individuals coming out and just supporting these kids that have the toughest battles.”

The event helps raise funds for Make-A-Wish Connecticut that will go towards granting wishes for kids in the state. Malinowski says his daughter’s wish was to have a travel trailer because she’s oxygen dependent. He says her wish was granted and they are participating in the convoy for the second time.
