Police have launched a probe after "possible human remains" were found at a Loch Lomond beauty spot.
Officers were called to an area near Rubha Dubh at Firkin Point between Inverbeg and Tarbet at around 12:40pm on Saturday, September 14.
Detectives are believed to have removed the remains from the scene for further analysis.
Firkin Point, just off the Lomond Cycle Path, is located close to the loch and is a popular picnic spot, with camping pitches available.
Speaking to the BBC, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Extensive inquiries are ongoing."
