People over a certain age who happen to still be single have revealed they face widespread bias.
About a third of 1,000 adults aged 50 and over admitted to facing all kinds of judgment for simply wanting affection, romance and intimacy, according to a new study from DateMyAge , a dating site for active and mature singles.
The study noted that age bias is real, with a whopping 73% saying they’ve been treated as if their best years are already over.
As a result, more than one-third of older daters (38%) have felt the need to lie about their age when meeting someone new, with 12% cutting more than five years off.
It found that men are about twice as likely as women to lie about their age.
