HELPER, Carbon County — U.S. 6 is closed in Carbon County due to an active rockslide on Sunday afternoon.
The highway is closed in both directions in an area north of Helper, according to a Utah Department of Transportation social media post.
Crews are on scene, but there is no estimate for reopening. It was not immediately known if anyone was injured in the slide.
UDOT indicated that there are heavy delays going both ways on U.S. 6, so drivers can use I-15 as an alternative route.
