Boxing legend Ricky Hatton, who was found dead at his home in Hyde on Sunday morning, has been remembered as the "Pride of Hyde" and "part of the fabric of Manchester".

But there is another place, hundreds of miles from his hometown, that is feeling his loss just as much as Greater Manchester.

The champion sportsman was a regular visitor to the Spanish island of Tenerife, and he made a significant impression on the folks that live and holiday there.

Just days ago, Ricky was filmed belting out a rendition of Wonderwall by Oasis at a bar in Costa Adeje.

Although he didn't always get the lyrics right - despite being a dedicated fan of the Gallagher brothers - his performance was a hit with his audience, who gave him a loud cheer as they realised who had taken to the microphone.
