RAWLINS -- The Rawlins Outlaws volleyball team picked up their first win of the season in their own Sandy Jebens Invitational this weekend.
The early season has seen some struggles for the Outlaws. They opened competition at the Cheyenne Invite on the last weekend of August, where they went 0-5 against Campbell County, Thunder Basin and Cheyenne East, South and Central.
Since the opening tournament, Rawlins has taken on Lyman and Glenrock in regular-season matches. The 3-0 loss to the Glenrock Herders featured 25-15, 25-12 and 25-13 sets. The match against the Lyman Eagles was similar, with 25-18, 25-17 and 25-17 sets enroute to another 3-0 finish.
The Outlaws hosted 15 other teams in their home tournament and took on six of them. The played three matches on Friday and three on Saturday
