DEVINE, Texas — An old schoolhouse in Devine is getting a chilling makeover this fall — and it's all for a good cause.

Sinister Harvest , a new haunted attraction opening later this month, promises spine-tingling scares with a mission: to support local veterans.

“What we’re standing in is an old schoolhouse from the 1900s,” said Brandon Harris, owner of Sinister Harvest Haunted Attraction . “We have amazing special effects, actors and live animatronics that we want people to see.”

From terrifying scenes like “The Butcher Room” to immersive horror storytelling, the attraction is designed to frighten — and give back.

The building, located on the grounds of VFW Post 3966, is being used in partnership with the local veterans group. 25% of all proceeds from the attraction will go toward
