MARTIN, Mich. (WOOD) — Some pockets around Allegan County are still making repairs after two tornadoes damaged parts of Dorr Township and Martin.
Back on May 15, an EF-1 tornado touched down a little before 10:30 pm near Sandy Pines Campground in Hopkins. It would intensify as it approached Dorr.
Downed trees were found around Hilltop View Drive and 21st Street in Dorr Township. John Kuperus' farm was right in that path.
"I gets up there and thought, 'I'd better go to the basement.' I got downstairs there, it was all done already. I go outside there, and I opened up the door there's limbs there," said Kuperus.
