MINNEAPOLIS — The Atlanta Falcons are gearing up for a pivotal primetime matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football, which can be seen right here on 11Alive.

Atlanta is coming off a heartbreaking 23-20 loss to division rival Tampa Bay, while Minnesota is feeling quite the opposite, as they reeled off a comeback win on the road vs. the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football behind second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

But it's the other second-year gunslinger, Michael Penix Jr., that Falcons fans are hoping can pick up his first signature win in what is just his fifth career start.
