DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The teen who was fatally shot in West Dayton early Sunday evening has been identified.
Dayton Police are investigating after a shooting early Sunday evening left a teen dead.
According to DPD, officers were called to the 3800 block of Alvin Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Sunday on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old male with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
On Monday, the Montgomery County Coroner's Office identifed the teen as Hillary Farr, 17.
One caller to 9-1-1 described a bullet hitting their window, while another caller said Farr was their brother.
Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate.
