DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- The man convicted in the death of a Clark County man has learned his sentence.
According to the Ohio Attorney General's Office, Kedric Holt, 24, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the murder of 20-year-old Gregory Wells Jr.
Holt pled guilty last week to one count of murder for an incident that occurred on July 8, 2023. Holt was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Springfield on July 26 of that year.
The incident saw Wells shot four times while he was sitting in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The vehicle was parked outside of Holt's home in the 200 block of Rosewood Avenue. Holt was reportedly highly intoxicated and approached the driver side of the Jeep when he fired the weapon.
