(FOX40.COM) — On Saturday evening, a man was arrested after stabbing a victim, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Just after 12:45 a.m. officers arrived on scene and rendered emergency medical aid to a man who had been stabbed. The victim was transported to an area hospital, officials say he is expected to recover.

The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Laverne Parker, who was detained after a thorough investigation. SPD said Parker faces charges for felony assault.
