The Missouri Legislature has ended its special session by passing a bill that would change the state’s Congressional districts. The goal is to give Republicans seven GOP-heavy districts instead of six.

Now the bill awaits a decision from Gov. Mike Kehoe, who pushed for lawmakers to pass the bill with no changes – something President Donald Trump also publicly urged the Missouri Senate to do.

“The Missouri First Map – that is a map that really reflects the values that I hear from Missourians, those values that we would like to see represented in Washington, D.C.,” said Kehoe.

Sen. Brad Hudson, R-Cape Fair, said he supports the plan.
