Seven San Jose residents and a dog were displaced by a residential fire that erupted early Sunday morning and reignited later in the day.
The fire was first reported by the San Jose Fire Department at about 3:30 a.m. after firefighters were already on scene of the single-family home in the 3800 block of Glengarry Drive.
A dog was rescued uninjured from the home and transferred to animal control for care.
The fire reignited several hours later, at about 12:42 p.m.
The flare up was quickly knocked down. Firefighters remained on site as of about 2:15 p.m. monitoring hot spots.
Images shared by the fire department showed the house's garage and its contents with extensive fire damage.
The cause was under investigation as of Sunday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
