Netflix star, Owen Cooper has shared his shock after making history as the youngest male winner of an acting Emmy. ‌

The young actor earned the award for his role in the British drama Adolescence, which widely impressed after airing on Netflix earlier this year. ‌

The 15-year-old beat tough competition, including veteran actor Bill Camp in the Presumed Innocent and Rob Delaney in Dying For Sex, to the gong, reports the Mirror. ‌

Speaking upon accepting it, the humble teenager said: "Honestly, when I started these drama classes a couple years back, I didn't expect to be even in the United States, never mind here. But I think tonight proves that if you listen and you focus and you step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything in life."
