The Pittsburgh Steelers were handed their first loss of the 2025 season in Week 2, dropping their home opener 31-17 to the Seattle Seahawks. Despite the anemic performance, the Steelers are favored to defeat the New England Patriots in Week 3.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Steelers open as 1.5-point favorites over the Patriots in New England, a place they haven’t won in since 2008. The Patriots are coming off a dramatic win over the Miami Dolphins, a game that featured four lead changes and marked the first time the Patriots have won in Miami since 2019.
The Steelers’ 2008 win in New England came against quarterback Matt Cassel, as Tom Brady was lost for the season in Week 1 of that year to a torn ACL.
