TRIBUTES were paid to 9/11 victims and Charlie Kirk ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs took on the reigning Super Bowl champions as they looked for revenge for the defeat in the glamour tie in February.

Travis Kelce and Co had the chance to put themselves ahead in the fourth quarter but an error from Patrick Mahomes saw the chance go begging.

The Eagles went on to win the Week 2 game at Arrowhead Stadium 20-17 to leave the Chiefs with a record of 0-2 to start the 2025 NFL season.

Before kickoff, there was a tribute paid to the victims of 9/11 and to those of gun violence across the US.

This included last week's assassination of President Donald Trump supporter Kirk at Utah Valley University .
