Conservative MSP Meghan Gallacher says A&E services in NHS Lanarkshire are facing a “terrifying” winter. ‌

The Central Scotland list MSP’s call after new statistics revealed only 71.1% of patients across Scotland were seen within four hours at A&E departments in July, well short of the SNP’s target of 95%. ‌

In NHS Lanarkshire only 57.4% of patients were seen within four hours with a paltry 53.1% being seen within four hours at Monklands Hospital. ‌

Meghan says if waiting times are this bad during the height of summer, she dreads to think how bad the situation will be when winter hits.
