A new strain of Covid has made its way to the UK, with the variant circulating around the country.

Stratus comes in two variants; the XFG and XFG.3, with the strain accounting for around 30 per cent of cases in Britain at the moment.

The UKHSA includes updated information on the spread of Covid each week, with the latest data from September 11 stating there were 1,541 cases reported up to September 3.

While it is not outlined how many of those cases were exactly from Status, the data shows levels of Covid are slightly on the rise once more.
