Apple season is here, and Apple Growers of Ontario (AGO) have said the drought has brought good and bad to the province’s 2025 apple season.

Though the crops across the province are generally strong, there is a sizing issue for lack of rain.
With some growers reporting large crops, many of the apples are smaller than average due to dry conditions.
This, however, has made them sweeter and more flavourful due to increased sugar content from the ample sunshine, according to AGO.
