NATE Bargatze's controversial and "distasteful" rule at last night's Emmy Awards 2025 has divided opinion - as fans slam it as "rude".
The comedian, 46, announced at the beginning of the ceremony that he would donate $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of America .
But he shocked viewers when he announced that he would deduct $1,000 for each second a speech ran over the strict 45-second limit.
As Emmy winners took to the stage to deliver their speeches, the on-screen tally ticked down, leaving them very distracted at this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Hannah Einbinder, who won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, shared a pro-Palestine message during her speech.
But the actress became aware that her speech was running over and quickly said: "Oh, I'll pay the difference
