CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A single-vehicle crash turned deadly in Cape Girardeau County early Sunday morning, September 14.
Emergency crews were called around 5 a.m. to MO 177, about 5 miles north of Cape Girardeau, to a crash involving a car.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old Cape Girardeau man was driving north when his car went off the left side of the road and hit a bridge pillar and a Missouri Department of Transportation sign.
MSHP said the man died at the scene.
Troopers report the driver was not wearing a seat belt and his car was totaled in the crash.
