Good morning Mid-MO and happy Monday! We started off the early morning hours with some lightning and rumbles of thunder. Thankfully most all of our storms have dissipated but the cloud cover is here to stay.

Today:

Umbrellas will be needed as you walk out the door this morning along with water bottles. Summer time temperatures will persist this afternoon with highs hanging out in the low 90s. Mostly cloudy conditions stick around through the morning before isolated thunderstorms reappear by this afternoon and evening.

A few of these storms could be capable of some gusty winds as they begin to die off this evening. While thunderstorms are expected to stay below severe limits, isolated gusts between 30-40 mph will be possible.
