Two health systems have issued responses after employees made social media posts regarding the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta told Fox 5 Atlanta it fired an employee following a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The publication reported it had received multiple calls and emails about the post.
“Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is aware of inappropriate comments made on social media by an employee yesterday. This type of rhetoric is not acceptable for Children’s employees and violates our social media policy. The employee has been terminated,” the hospital said in a statement to the publication.
