CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - While the official start of fall is still a week away, you may notice some color beginning to show on the trees.
It is now almost the middle of September, and with the warm days and the cool nights, leaves will be changing soon. Usually around now, Massachusetts will start to see partial color beginning to form.

Next week, the colors will start to become more noticeable or patchy on the trees. It is really not until September 27th to October 4th that color starts to become very common on the trees in southern New England.
