The Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments is seeking public input on its active transportation plan.

The plan aims to improve and expand infrastructure for walking, biking and other non-motorized travel, according to a community announcement. The goal is to create safer, more accessible and sustainable transportation options for people of all ages and abilities.

The plan focuses on infrastructure such as sidewalks, multiuse paths, bike lanes and safer crosswalks. By making it easier for people to choose alternatives to driving for short trips, the plan hopes to reduce traffic congestion and pollution while promoting healthy lifestyles.
