Dear Editor:

If you’re like me, you’ve been troubled for some time now by the violence and division we continue to see in our country. These moments don’t just make headlines — they weigh heavily on our hearts and on our sense of community. I’ve often said that real leaders lead with kindness and respect, and I believe now more than ever that’s what our country needs.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about where we are as a nation and as neighbors. It feels like the world is moving faster than ever, and too often, the loudest voices are the angriest ones. Sometimes we just need to stop watching, stop reading, and stop listening for a moment — and remember what really matters: we are human first.
